    A Step into the Past – Istanbul Bursa Tour

    The Istanbul Bursa Tour is an immersive journey into the rich history and cultural heritage of Turkey. Starting in Bursa, a city that played a key role in the Ottoman Empire’s rise to power.
    Take a ferry ride from Istanbul to Bursa across the Sea of Marmara.  Spend two days exploring Bursa.  And, then visit the highlights of magical Istanbul.

    Bursa, the first capital of the Ottoman Empire, is also called Yesil (Green) Bursa for its parks and gardens with Uludag Mountain as a backdrop.  Bursa is the fourth largest city in Turkey today, a provincial capital and one of Turkey’s commercial centers.  It is known for its peaches, chestnuts and its silk industry.

    Bursa is also famous for its Bursa, or Iskender, Kebap.  Be sure to try it.  This tour hits the historic highlights of Bursa.  First and foremost is the Green Mosque, with its beautiful tile work of greens, blues, and yellows.  Of particular note are the hexagonal green tiles covering the walls of the Prayer Hall.  This is the first Ottoman mosque to use tiles extensively as interior decoration.  We will also visit the Islamic Art Museum, the Green Mausoleum and take a cable car up Mt Uludag.

    Istanbul is unique among the great cities of the world.  It straddles two continents, Europe and Asia.  Its history encompasses three major civilizations of the ancient world:  Roman, Greek, and Byzantine.  Not to mention its history as the center of the Ottoman Empire.  And, all that history is visible on almost every street corner with modern buildings perched atop ancient ruins and remnants of ancient walls lining today’s bustling streets.  It is truly a feast for the eyes and mind. Your two days in Istanbul will show you the historical highlights of amazing, magical Istanbul: the Hagia Sopha, the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, the Grand Bazaar, a Bosphorus Cruise, and the Spice Bazaar.

    Istanbul Bursa Tour Itinerary

    Day 1 : Arrive in Istanbul

    Arrive at Istanbul International Airport. Meet our representative & transfer to hotel. Free day at your own leisure. Overnight in Istanbul.

    Day 2 : From Istanbul to Bursa

    Breakfast at hotel. Meet your driver at hotel and get a private transfer to port. Travel to Bursa with fast ferry. Upon arrival in Bursa, meet our representative & transfer to hotel in the Bursa city center. Free day at your own leisure. Overnight in Bursa.

    Day 3: Ottoman’s Heritage Bursa Tour & Return to Istanbul

    Breakfast at hotel. Meet your tour guide & driver at hotel lobby and depart for Bursa tour. Visit Green Bazaar, Green Mosque (Yesil Camii), Green Mausoleum (Yesil Turbesi), Ancient Tree, Islamic Art Museum & take the cable car to Mt. Uludag. Lunch will be served at local restaurants. Transfer to port after the tour & travel to Istanbul with fast ferry in the evening. Upon arrival in Istanbul, meet our representatives & transfer to hotel. Overnight in Istanbul.

    Day 4: Istanbul Old City Tour

    After breakfast at your hotel, we will depart at approximately around 08:30AM for your Istanbul Old City tour. Today we will visit the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Hippodrome, the Obelisk of Theodosius, the Serpentine Column, the German Fountain of Wilhelm II. After lunch, we will explore Topkapi Palace and the Grand Bazaar. We will stay overnight in Istanbul.

    Day 5: Morning Bosphorus Cruise & Spice Bazaar Tour

    After breakfast at your hotel, we will depart at approximately around 08:30AM for your morning Bosphorus Cruise. Enjoy the magnificent view of Istanbul’s landmarks such as Dolmabahce Palace, Ortakoy, Bebek, Arnavutkoy Bosphorus Bridge, etc. After the cruise, the tour continues with a visit to one of the most famous bazaar in Istanbul, namely the Spice Bazaar. This spice heaven is great for spice lovers and for those who are looking for local delicacies. Free afternoon at your own leisure. We will stay overnight in Istanbul.

    Day 6: Depart from Istanbul

    Breakfast at hotel. You will be picked up from hotel at approximately 3 hours before your departure time and be sent to Istanbul International Airport.
